Objective New York Hosts Fashion Presentation for Fall 2016

As we're in the age of entrepreneurship, many are beginning to see the opportunities that fashion can provide. Parson's graduate. Curtis Bryant foresees the success of young black designers and grants them the space to present their convictions of fashion to the world.  At the pivotal age of 27, he used his vision to fill the void with Objective New York, an independently curated fashion event.  With photography, and a published book under his belt, who would've thought that fashion would be the next monster he'd tackle?

Sergio Wonder Presents with Objective NY

n May 2016, I presented my Fall 2016 menswear capsule at Objective NYC's second annual fashion event. My goal was to offer a refreshing take on contemporary sportswear for the minimal nomad. Featuring fresh faces like Myles Campbell, Deiondre Smith, Alex Oko-Osi, & Ki Akeem, it's pretty clear which market i'm interested in catering to and why.  Needless to say that the icing for this particular vision was the Marcus Branch appearance throughout the in show as he seemingly serves as the unspoken style ambassador for the brand. (In case you missed it, Branch also stunningly modeled in the spring 2016 capsule campaign.)

EYE ON ART: AUGUST COATS

I received a healthy batch of inspiring images via snap chat from Austin Coats, a talented artist based in Reynoldsburg, Ohio.  When he isn't answering the call to create these tantalizing illustrations, the 20 year old spend his days pursuing the art of dance.  With the demand for racial equality on the rise in America, surely I couldn't turn a blind eye to Coats' particular vision to portray African American art in it's modern form.
